My Gloria Experience

This summer, I had the chance of having my vacation at Gloria Verde Resort. I call it “chance” because the hotel makes you feel lucky with all its facilities and activities. My vacation had a much more important status this year which comes from the reason that it was our first “long-stay” hotel vacation with our 4 year old son. This is why we looked for a hotel in Antalya which has suitable atmosphere for children. In 2007, I had once stayed at Gloria Golf Resort and had good memories with it and after seeing the photos and watching the mini clip of the hotel in ETS Tur’s website, we agreed to book the hotel. It was early in January 2018 (the exact date was 8 January 2018) and we benefited from the advantageous price offer of the early reservation period. Although I bought an insurance for my reservation, thank God, we didn’t need to use the insurance and entered the hotel on the right day: 29 August 2018.

Even super heroes need a rest at patisserie!

We arrived at the hotel around 11 am and though it was stated that the room will be available at 2 pm, we were more than welcomed to our room just after checking in. This was a nice favour. The belly boy was so successful and he carried all our necessary belongings to our room without any notification or request. This was another good job. After resting a little bit in our room, it was time for lunch and in fact it was time for “joy”. I call it “joy” because the rich menu presented both in the lunch and dinner was a real joy for me and my family. We loved the foods for sure, this is a reality which we observed when we turned back to home and saw our upgraded weights. (Nowadays we are on diet for losing the weights we gained at Gloria Verde) Let’s concentrate on the things we do rather than the things we ate. But before that, just one reminder, do not forget to leave place in your stomach for the things you will eat in the patisserie because there you will find really delicious desserts which you cannot easily reject. That’s enough about the foods, what is next? Summer means sea, pool, sun and swimming for me. And Gloria is where you can find all of these together. There are pools which you can safely swim with your children. Additionally, our son enjoyed swimming in the sea as well. The music around the pool was cool and for those who are seeking sport activities in the pool made pool handball matches every afternoon. My favourite activity in the late afternoons was drinking alcohol (especially Gin Tonic) with my wife (her favourite was Ice Coffee). For those who are wondering our son, please keep calm because he enjoyed Kids Club activities with his international friends. As parents, we had free time to stay alone and we were sure that our son was also having quality time. Every evening, the hotel presents various entertainments for the guests just after the dinner time. Generally we preferred the ones for the children first which finished around 9 pm which is the time to go bed for children. But of course there were alternatives live music (various types), DJ performances and dance parties till the midnight.

Everyone needs some time to relax

On the victory day (30 August 2018), we were at the hotel as well. This was a well-chosen date to be at Gloria because that day a special event was organised: Live DJ Mahmut Orhan Performance. Due to the victory date, that night special light shows and fireworks were prepared. Certainly we loved what we watched. And following these shows, we enjoyed listening the sets DJ Mahmut Orhan played for the guests. Once I remember saying my wife that “this is truly the best day I had in 2018” and this was because of the alcohol I drank but because of the joy I received from the atmosphere as a family. Many thanks to all the ones who had effort in that special event!

In conclusion; it was really a great vacation experience both for me and my family to be at Gloria Verde Resort. Last but not least, we also had the chance of playing golf in the hotel after having a free training from our golf trainer. What an experience it was! We left the hotel with nice memories and plans for our next visit in the coming summer. Hopefully, we will have new vacation days at Gloria. For those who are thinking to book a room at this hotel, I totally recommend it. Just enjoy your stay!
